Hello

Welcome to Reflections Psychotherapy & Counseling, PLLC. I am a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist who specializes in trauma-informed therapy. My focus includes helping individuals experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use disorder, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. As a Brainspotting practitioner, I will guide you in a safe and encouraging space to explore past trauma and work through issues that have been holding you back from living life on your terms and as your true, authentic self.

My Story

My path to becoming a therapist didn't follow the traditional route.  I found my way into social work and therapy, after walking through my own seasons of healing and growth.  Returning to graduate school to pursue my Master of Social Work through the Joint Master in Social Work Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical Universty was one of the most transformative decisions I've ever made.  Through that experience, I discovered a profound passion for helping individuals who are navigating mental health challenges that make life feel overwhelming at times.  It allowed me to combine my life experience, empathy, and deep desire to help others into meaningful, purpose-driven work.  Through my own life's journey, I've learned that healing isn't linear.  It's often messy, painful, and beautiful all at once.  But it's also where we discover who we truly are.  Therapy made a difference in my own life, and that's why I am so passionate about offering the same space for others - to remind you that you don't have to go through it alone.

During my first-year internship The Women's Resource Center of Alamance County, I had the privilege of working alongside women as they rebuilt their lives after experiences of abuse and domestic violence.  They are true survivors.  Together we focused on empowerment, self-discovery, and reconnecting with strength and hope.

In my specialty internship at the Durham VA Medical Center, my passion for working with Veterans and military service members deepened.  I witnessed incredible resilience and courage while supporting individuals navigating trauma and PTSD.  My time at the VA taught me so much about the power of compassion, connection, and evidence-based trauma work like Brainspotting and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

Today as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Psychotherapist, I bring all of those experiences with me inot the therapy room.  Each day, I show up fully - offering warmth, understanding, and a safe space for you to explore your story and your healing.  I see therapy as a partnership where you don't have to have everything figured out; you just have to take that first step.

I truly love what I do.  I love being a part of people's healing journeys and watching them rediscover their strength and peace.  Wherever you are in your process, I'm here to meet you with compassion, authenticity, and support every step of the way.

In reflection, we find our way back to ourselves.  A space to pause, reflect, and heal.
